The multi award winning Wro is a unique venue offering an exclusive mix of great food and drink, amazing events and private celebrations. With two sites at the gateway to West Kirby, the Wro Bar and the Wro Loft offer a complementary range of hospitality experiences  to suit every mood and occasion.

We are extremely proud to have been awarded ‘Wirral’s Bar of the Year’ for seven years and ‘Merseyside Bar of the Year’ for the third time in 2016. We are also delighted to have been ‘Highly Commended’ in the prestigious national competition in 2015, the Visit England Awards

THE WRO - MORE THAN JUST A BAR!

Along with our eclectic food offering and fabulous drinks list, we also have an ever changing range of events, clubs and live music sessions – something to appeal to every guest!

LIVE MUSIC

From day one The Wro has always championed live music. As a dedicated live music fan, Howie has worked hard to hunt out the best local artists and showcase Wirral talent from every genre. We now have live music every Thursday from 8.30 pm and again on a Sunday from 7 pm.

SUNDAY ROASTS

“We held my Grandson’s Christening here and what can I say about it. Well it was truly a beautiful and ideal venue for the family and friends that helped us to celebrate. The food was amazing, the staff were so helpful and pleasant, even going out of their way to help us set up the room at such an early time of 7.15 am on the morning. Jen, the Events Manager goes out of her way to make sure your day goes perfectly. The setting of the venue is ideally situated and, if you have a day like ours when the sun was shining you have the balcony to watch the world go by to enjoy the experience of The Wro and their very helpful staff. It was a pleasure to have been looked after as we did by yourselves. Highly recommended it...

Access Statement

The Wro complies with all current DDA requirements.

Access from the front entrance to the Wro Bar is via double doors with two steps from the pavement tarmac to our decking level which is the same level. Either side of the front entrance are two further sets of double doors providing access and egress when the weather allows but also emergency exits should the eventuality arise.

A further emergency exit is available to the rear of the building via the kitchen. All public bar and dining facilities can be accessed and enjoyed on the ground floor including wheelchair accessible toilet facilities following the use of telescopic ramps for stair access at the front entrance. All members of staff have been trained in the use of ramps and a minimum of two staff are always available if the ramps are required.
